Benefit for Darren McCauley

To All;

Please come and join us next Saturday 22nd May at Martin Mack's for a benefit night for Darren "Smackers" McCauley.

Darren McCauley came to San Francisco 6 years ago and has been a prominent member of the Ulster Club and Irish community every since. Darren broke his leg playing for Ulster several weeks ago and has not been able work since. Darren has also incurred significant medical expenses from his injury, any help and support would be greatly appreciated.

See you next Saturday @ 7.30pm for a good nights crack.

Ulster Club would like to thank you all in advance for all your generosity and support.

Kindest regards

Ulster Club Committee.

ST PATRICKS CUP FINALS LOOM

The finals of the St Patricks Cup will take place on the weekend of June 12th with several spots still up for grabs this week and next.

In the Men's Senior Football Sean Traecy's have secured a final spot, having progressed through the rounds unbeaten. The semi-final will see Boru meet Ulster, having overcome the men in gold by 7 points in the early round. Indeed an understrength Boru gave Treacys enough to think about in the Round Robin game before going under by 3 points in a tight and edgy battle, literally.

The Hurling Competition will take place between Na Fianna and Naomh Padraig, Padraigs have had the early edge however the landscape may have altered somewhat by the time the final comes round, and with many of the summer palyers starting to arrive, early results may have little bearing on this one. It was refreshing to see the young Rovers team compete for the first time on the back of their North American Junior C title win.

The Ladies football will have Fog City play either Saoirse or Clan na nGael, and one thinks the Fog ladies should have enough in reserve to win this one.
