2014 St. Patrick's Cup Final Results:
Hi All,
Please find results for of our 2014 St. Patrick's Cup Finals.
You will find updates and photos on our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/pages/San-Francisco-GAA/.
The Western Divisional Board would like to thank all the players, mentors, sponsors, supporters and a special thanks to the Consulate General of Ireland for San Francisco. Philip Grant, who graciously donated our New St Patrick's Cup for the Senior Men's Football Final, " The St Patrick's Consulate Cup". Yesterday we had one of the largest crowds ever to attend our preseason and exclusively home based player tournament finals. We would also like to thank New York Board Referee Dermot Flynn for making the trip to SF in order to officiate over our two Hurling matches and was much appreciated by all teams involved.
Mens C Final: Sons of Boru/Celts defeated Eire Og.
Ladies Final: Fog City Harps 3.10 defeated Clan Na Gael 2.06.
Hurling B Final: SF Rovers 2.12 defeated St. Josephs 1.11.
Mens B Final: Sean Treacys defeated an understrength Michael Cusacks team on a Final Score; 2.11 to 0.04.
Mens A Final: YISB had their first ever St Patrick's Cup Senior Football Final win, defeating Ulster in an exceptional game, Final Score; 2.15 to 2.13 .
Hurling A Final: In a much anticipated Hurling Final it was Na Fianna who took the spoils in a second half come back and defeated Naomh Padraig on a Final Score; Na Fianna 1.14 to Naomh Padraig 0.13.
We also wish our 2014 Girls Feile U14 Team the very best as they get ready for their Ireland tour. They played an exhibition game in front of a packed Treasure Island and were also presented a check for $2,500 from the Western Divisional Board, to go towards their expenses in Ireland.
Please go to our Facebook page and view the fabulous photographs taken by Ann O'Reilly, who was able to cover 5 of our 6 games on Treasure Island, the Board was very grateful of her help.
